We invite you to visit the Greek island of Rhodes, the pearl of the Dodecanese archipelago.
Villa Sofia

Rhodes is an ideal place for those who value slow-paced relaxation on the shores of a warm, crystal-clear sea.

Those who love outdoor activities and sports will also find a wealth of opportunities for themselves on the island.

Villa Sofia is located 30 minutes’ drive from the airport on the Rhodes shore, surrounded by the Mediterranean Sea. It is right between two cities: the island’s capital, the city of Rhodes, and the ancient snow-white city of Lindos, just 25 kilometers from each city.

The villa comfortably accommodates 6 guests. On the ground floor are the living room and kitchen, while the second floor boasts three bedrooms. The house has two bathrooms, one on each floor. Each room in the villa is air conditioned and the kitchen is fully equipped. The villa has satellite TV and broadband internet.

There is a 5×13-meter swimming pool ranging in depth from 1 to 1.7 meters. This makes it easy for both children and adults to swim in the pool. The pool is managed by a special company that cleans it and does chemical and biological control of water quality twice a week.

The villa sits on 2,000 square meters (0.5 acre) of land surrounded by cypress, palm, fruit and olive trees. The house and pool are situated in the middle of the parcel with two gazebos and a barbecue area in the corners. The grounds are entirely fenced in and there are two parking spaces. We welcome guests with children and pets.

Our manager, Spiros, lives in the neighboring village of Archangelos. He can be reached by phone at any time of day, speaks English and solves any technical and organizational issues our guests might have. The villa is cleaned by the staff of a professional cleaning company that also serves nearby hotels.

You will find a huge selection of taverns and restaurants on the island. You can get recommendations from the Eating out on Rhodes Facebook group. Two great traditional Greek taverns, Anthoula and Tsambikos, are within walking distance of the villa.

There are two supermarkets near the villa: Flevaris (five minutes’ drive) and Panagiotas (seven minutes’ drive). These shops have a wide selection of fresh meat, Greek cheeses, dairy products, fruits and vegetables.

It’s best to purchase fresh fish and seafood in the specialized shops in the neighboring villages of Afandou and Archangelos, or at the fish supermarket at the farmer’s market in Rhodes. It offers the widest selection.

Rhodes is paradise for those who love water sports such as surfing, kiteboarding, diving and yachting. The many schools will help beginners take their first steps in these sports, and experienced athletes to become more skilled.

For vacationers with children, Rhodes has a water park https://www.water-park.gr

and beaches like Tsambika that are ideal for children. Tsambika beach has a long, shallow descent into the sea with a sandy bottom. This allows children to safely swim in view of their parents, who may be relaxing on the shore.

Those who enjoy night life will be interested in the bars and nightclubs of Rhodes, Lindos and Faliraki.  At the Tripadvisor link below you will find recommendations for choosing the best spots on the island.

Thanks to the island’s small size (a maximum of 80 km long and 38 km wide) and great roads, Rhodes is the perfect place to drive in comfort. Below you will find links to videos about the island’s main attractions.

It takes just 30 minutes to get from Villa Sofia to each of the island’s two relatively big cities, Rhodes and Lindos. The most famous monastery on Rhodes, Tsambika, and the Seven Springs nature park are a mere five-minutes’ drive from the villa. And in 20 minutes you can reach the opposite shore of the island which is washed by the emerald waters of the Aegean Sea.

There are plenty of ferries that will get you to the nearest Greek islands of Simi and Halki, and to the Turkish city of Marmaris, in just one hour. Such journeys will give you a broader perspective on the region.

The villa is available for booking year-round. The minimum rental is one week. Prices range from €350 to €500 per night depending on the season. Please write us to check availability on specific dates and for prices:
